- Not a high instep and not a low instep
- A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
- A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria’s big toe

Maria’s size choice would be 43. Size 42.5 might be better in length, but Maria’s wide feet require size 43. Surprisingly, Maria had quite a lot of room for her toes; the narrowness of the F width was felt around the middle of the foot near the shoe’s zipper. Of course, the leather would stretch with use, especially in width. Such nice-feeling cool shoes!

Sanna’s choice would be size 40, which felt suitable in every way, both in length and width. The height of the model over the instep also felt good on Sanna’s foot. Sanna has a narrow heel, so in this model the heel also felt a bit loose. Sanna removed the insole and tried a thinner one, which helped the heel settle better into the heel cup. In this Gabor model, the insole is a couple of centimeters thick at the heel. Lovely shoes!
